A Delhi court is scheduled to pronounce judgment in the Jigisha Ghosh murder case on July 14. Jigisha, an operations manger at Hewitt Associate Pvt. Limited, was abducted and killed in March 2009 after she was dropped at her home in Vasant Vihar by her office cab. There are three accused in the case.

Additional Sessions Judge Sandeep Yadav, on Tuesday, reserved the judgment on conclusion of arguments by the Special Public Prosecutor, Rajiv Mohan, and counsel for the accused persons. The prosecutor submitted that there was sufficient evidence on record against the accused persons.

Counsel for the accused countered the argument submitting that it had not been able to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt as there was no evidence to connect the accused with the crime.

The trial in the case began in 2010 with the examination of the father of the victim as a prosecution witness.

Robbery a motive?

The Delhi Police have claimed that robbery was the motive of the murder. The police had recovered the body near Surajkund in Haryana.
