2 youths on Eid outing meet watery grave

Bhandara: Two youths who had come to Gosikhurd dam for an Eid outing drowned on Wednesday around 6pm. The bodies of Mohammad Lakhani (34) and Sohel Badani (15) had not been fished out until late evening.
Fifty to 60 members of a few families from Bramhpuri had gone to Gosikhurd dam site for Eid celebrations. Lakhani and Badani were sitting on the bank when Badani fell in the deep water.Lakhani jumped in to save him but drowned as well. Due to rainy season, the water level in the dam was high.
Search for the bodies was undertaken but the operation was halted at sunset. It will resume on Thursday morning.
