Juventus and Chelsea are in talks over the potential transfer of Juan Cuadrado back to Juventus Stadium, according to Sky Italy.

The 28-year-old forward spent last season on loan at Juve, having failed to make an impact since his £26m move from Fiorentina in February 2015.

Cuadrado wants to stay at Juventus and the club want to buy him, and it is understood they have offered £1.7m for another year-long loan deal before a further £19m payment to make the move permanent.

Chelsea, however, would like to negotiate more, partly because new Blues boss Antonio Conte wants to keep Cuadrado at the club for the coming season.

Juventus would also like to sign midfielder Nemanja Matic, but Sky sources understand that the now former Italy head coach Conte also wants to keep the Serbia international at the Bridge.

Cuadrado scored four goals in 28 Serie A matches for Juventus last season. He had signed for Chelsea just seven months prior after 15 Italian top-flight goals in two excellent years with Fiorentina.
