ETV News has launched a new channel called News 18 Kerala. The channel was launched at the Hotel Taj Vivanta in Thiruvananthapuram in the presence of Kerala Chief Minister P. Vijayan who was the chief guest. Former chief ministers Achchutanand and Ommeen Chandy, besides the Press Secretary to the President Venu Rajamoney were also present as guests of honour. Leader of Opposition in the Kerala State Assembly Ramesh Chennithala was also present. Chief Minister Vijayan welcomed News18 Kerala in Kerala. Channel Head Jagdeesh Chandra welcomed all guests.
