Gaurav and Shefali come together for the first time as a married couple trying to re-discover marital bliss

Gaurav, plays the role of Dr. Akshay who is married to Vijaya portrayed by Shefali Sharma. The two are married but don't love each other. The only bridge between the two is their daughter - Neeti. Dr. Akshay loved Nandini (essayed by Khushboo Tawde).
Dr. Akshay has kept secrets for many years now and the two are not able to control themselves after destiny reunites them.

"I am excited to be a part of the show.My character is a level headed guy. Akshay has multiple shades to his character and that is why I took the role," said Gaurav.
When asked Gaurav about how much hard work he put while playing the role of a doctor, he replied, "Not much people know but I had biology till my 12th. I always wanted to become a doctor. But I managed to score full marks in Maths which led to me doing MBA. My family has a lot of doctors and so it was easy for me to portray one."

On playing the on-screen wife of Gaurav, Shefali said, "I am privileged to be a part of 'Tere Bin'. I am working for the first time with Gaurav. I am certain that the vieweres will love our pairing."
Khushboo Tawde, who plays the role of Dr Nandini and Akshay's love interest, said "The show is believable and as real as it can get. The characters you will see have been put in situations entangling their lives."
