It’s a new ball game for Sooraj
In an earlier interview to Mirror (October 12) Salman Khan’s ‘Hero’ Sooraj Pancholi had revealed that he definitely wanted to do another action film and a love story. “The content-driven subjects can wait till I am a little more experienced,” he had asserted.

The actor recently signed Remo D’Souza danceaction movie with Ajay Devgn which kick-starts in September and will be shot across Delhi. Now, Mirror has learnt that the 25-year-old has a third film in his kitty which is based on soccer and will be directed by debutante filmmaker Pierre Timmins who has earlier assisted on films like I Hate Luv Storys and Dostana.

“The film is about an underdog footballer who carves out his own journey on the soccer field. Sooraj is yet to hear the final narration but is excited about the project and will start shooting for it after he wraps up Remo’s film which will be sometime next year,” reveals a source close to the development.

Sooraj has already begun prepping for the film, dedicating a few hours everyday to master the sport. “He has been working with professional coaches and will be going to Goa, which has some great football fields, and spend a month training there. Also, since he has to look really lean he will be losing around 10 kg, which will require him to sweat it out in the gym,” asserts the source.
