Senior BJP leader and NDMC vice-chairman Karan Singh Tanwar on Monday said that the allegedly “defamatory” posters linking him, BJP MP Maheish Girri and Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung to murdered NDMC official MM Khan's death was an example of “frivolous and cheap politics”.

‘Politicising Khan’s death’

Alleging that the AAP was trying to “politicise on a dead person for their political vendetta (Sic.)”, Mr. Tanwar said he had seen such posters in “large numbers” at Naraina, Moti Bagh, Netaji Nagar and Chanakya Puri among others.

“This all is done by AAP MLA Surender Singh. On further questioning him, it shall be revealed where those posters were printed and also the name of AAP leaders involved in the conspiracy,” Mr. Tanwar said.

The NDMC vice-chairman also condemned Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, AAP Convenor Dilip Pandey, AAP MLA Ammanutullah and Mr. Singh for “defaming the constitutional post of L-G with false allegations” in such a heinous crime sans any proof, witnesses or clues demanding that they be arrested.
