No let-up in rain

SHIMLA: Moderate to heavy rain was witnessed in parts of the state.

Shimla, July 4

Moderate to heavy rain was witnessed in parts of the state. Guler was wettest in the region with 64 mm rain while Kheri and Kufri received 56 mm and 53 mm rain. Shimla recorded 48 mm, Ghamroor 43 mm, Amb 35 mm, Sarahan 34 mm, Aghar 33 mm, Sundernagar and Theog 30 mm.

The maximum temperature did not witness any change. Una was the hottest at 35.8 degree C while Bhuntar and Sundernagar recorded 33.8 degree C and 33.3 degree C followed by Dharamsala 28.4 degree C, Nahan 28.1 degree C, Solan 28.0 degree C, Manali 24.6 degree C, Shimla 22.2 degree C and Kalpa 19.4 degree C.

The minimum temperature dropped by a few notches in Manali, Keylong and Kalpa.

The Met office has predicted rain/thunderstorms at many places in the lower, mid and higher hills in the next six days.
