Despite strong global cues, soya oil in Indore mandis today ruled stable on slack physical demand with soya refined being quoted at ₹632-35, while soya solvent ruled at ₹600-605. Soyabean in private trading ruled steady at ₹3,750-3,900 a quintal. Plant deliveries were quoted at ₹3,750.
Experts feel a 5-15 per cent decline in soyabean sowing this year as farmers are switching from soyabean farming to urad and maize farming which has fetched better price this year, said Ramesh Malpani, a local soyabean trader, adding that in case of decline in soyabean sowing, soyabean may see gain in its prices in the coming days.
