Go the way of Kalam, not Kasab: RSS leader to religious extremists

New Delhi, Jul 4 (UNI) Senior RSS leader and patron of the Rashtriya Muslim Manch Indresh Kumar today called upon the religious extremists to go the way of ''Kalam , not Kasab'', underlining that breaking the vicious circle of hatred was a must for the welfare of all. ''Islam and no other religion teaches violence and those who were using the religion for unleashing death and destruction were doing a great disservice to the mankind,'' Mr Kumar said. ''I appeal to all extremists and fundamentalists to reject the path of violence. Follow the way of Dr Abdul Kalam, Not the way of ( 26/11 attacker Ajmal) Kasab,'' he said referring to the contribution of the late former President of the country towards communal amity. The RSS leader’s remarks came while talking to reporters at an ‘Iftaar Party’ hosted by the Delhi Study Group, which was also attended by Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit, and diplomats of Iran, Bangladesh, Palestine, Bhutan Greece and Cyprus among other dignitaries. ''We in India have remained mired in the filth of communal hatred for so long, and it is high time that we came out of it and gave ourselves an atmosphere of peace and love and amity,'' the RSS leaders said. The Rashtriya Muslim Manch had also organised an Iftaar two days back in which a large number of people from various walks of life had participated. Mr Vijay Jolly, President of the Delhi Study Group which had organised today’s Iftaar, said the aim of his organisation was to promote understanding between the peoples of different countries and and also among the various communities living In India. ''The hosting of today’s Roaza Iftaar was to create an atmosphere of bonhomie between Hindus and Muslims,'' he said. UNI NAZ RSA 1954
