Manvir, Shrenik Bhalla and Divesh toil to win

Chandigarh, Jul 4 (UNI) Trailing by one set, Manvir Singh fought back with redoubled vigour to snuff out the challenge of Samarth Suri 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in the boys under-16 first round match in the CLTA-AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.
In the other first round match top seed Calvin Golmei of CLTA defeated Sarvesh Maria in a one sided match 6-0, 6-0. Third seed Bhavesh Aggarwal of CLTA also won from Anirudh Kumawat in straight sets 6-2, 6-0. Yuvraj Singh Kooka also moved into 2nd round.
Shrenik Bhalla prevailed over spirited Jai Rochwani in three well-contested sets 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4 in the boys under-14 singles first round match. Blanked in the first set Divesh Pratap bounced back into the game with vengeance to dispose of the challenge of Pranav Chopra 0-6, 6-4, 6-3.
