While,
Shirish Kunder is known to be extremely witty on Twitter, this time around someone played a prank on him and funnyman Shirish had to deal with something really mean. When his new short
film '
Kriti' released online on June 22, everyone was praising the director's efforts at making such a brilliant thriller. However, it was not long before there was buzz about this film being copied from a Nepalese film 'Bob'.
The
director of the film Aneel Neupane himself confirmed that there were striking similarities between his film and 'Kriti'.
Post which, internet played a mean mischief with Shirish's Wikipedia page, as every film that was named under him as director and producer was added with a few words as description. For instance, the page read 'Jaan-E'Mann' (2006) copied from 'Roxanne' and 'Mr. Wonderful', 'Joker' (2012) copied from 'Signs' (2002), 'Kriti' (2016) copied from 'Bob' (2015). While the director-producer who is known for his good sense of humour, shared a funny tweet, "OMG! #'Kriti' copied from 'Mr. Robot', that copied 'Happy New Year', that copied 'Star Wars'!!! #'Kriti' steals Hoodies!!!" (sic).
