Turkish ship loaded wh aid for Gaza docks in Ashdod

RAMALLAH, July 3 (KUNA) -- A Turkish ship loaded with thousands of tons of humanitarian supplies destined for the besieged Gaza Strip arrived at the Israeli port of Ashdod on Sunday, the Israeli radio reported.
The ship, carrying 10,000 tons of food and medicine, has been inspected by security personnel, it added.
The arrival of the ship was in line with an agreement between Israel and Turkey to normalize relations, signed last month, following a six-year rift.
The Turkish aid will be crossing via the Karam Abu Salem crossing tomorrow, the radio added.
The Israeli-Turkish agreement allows delivery of humanitarian supplies to Gaza. (end) nq.bs
