Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu has advised former Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda to write a book on land scams.

“He (Hooda) can write a book titled ‘101 ways of land scams’ quite well if he so desires,” the minister said while addressing a news conference here today.

Terming Hooda as an expert on land scams, Capt Abhimanyu pointed out that now the allotment of HSIIDC plots is done through open online bidding and the Deputy Commissioners have been authorised to issue CLUs involving an amount an investment of up to Rs 10 crore or for land area up to 1 acre. “Moreover, the functioning of the Department of Excise and Taxation has also been made online to ensure transparency in the system,” he maintained.

The minister stated the Madhavan Commission had been constituted to remove the pay anomalies before implementing the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, as demanded by the state employees. He asked the government employees to cooperate with the Haryana government for eradicating corruption .

Abhimanyu disclosed that the state government had sanctioned Rs 75 crore for the establishment of an airport in the state, adding that they planned to complete the Kundli-Manesar section of the KMP Expressway within 400 days.
