Leicester City have confirmed the signing of midfielder Nampalys Mendy from OGC Nice.
The deal between the clubs, which is still subject to Premier League and FA approval, saw Mendy sign a four-year contract with last season's Premier League title winners for a reported fee of £13 million.
Speaking to the club's official website, the 24-year-old said: "I am very happy to come to Leicester City. The team have just enjoyed a great season and it's excellent to be here.
"For me I want to play at this level. I like the Premier League and I follow every match. It's fast and physical and I want to impose myself on the league.
Mendy, who worked with Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri during a spell at AS Monaco in the 2012-13 season said of the Italian: "I know his mentality and I know his philosophy. When he speaks it's direct and clear and for me I like this."

Having made 200 appearances in three seasons for Nice, across all competitions, Mendy has earned a place in the France under-18, 19, 20 and 21 teams.
At Monaco, the promising youngster made 36 appearances under Ranieri helping to steer the team to the Ligue 2 title.
Mendy becomes Leicester City's third signing of the summer after Ron-Robert Zieler and Luis Hernandez. They are also expected to complete the signing of CSKA's Ahmed Musa, shortly.
The Foxes open their 2016-17 Premier League campaign on Aug. 13 against league newcomers Hull City.
