Gorakhpur: Chillupar MLA, who recently left the BSP, expressed his interest in getting BJP ticket from Chillupar in the forthcoming assembly elections.
He went to take blessings of Mahant Yogi Adityanath on the first day of the two-day Nath cult programme in Gorakhnath temple on Saturday. While speaking to media he accused the BSP supremo of selling the Chillupar ticket for Rs 10 crore to the family which gave contract of his murder.

"Chillupar is a very important place as politicization of criminal people started from this place only."
He claimed that Harishankar Tiwari is a criminal and with an aim to eradicate criminals from politics he defeated him and won the MLA seat from there twice. "But after 10 years of dedication for the BSP, the party betrayed me and sold the ticket to Tiwari's family," he said.
"Harishankar Tiwari and his family gave contract for my murder which was proved after an encounter of a criminal by STF in Lucknow when Brijlal was DGP and Fateh Bahadur was the chief secretary," he alleged.
On asking him, whether it was his first visit to Gorakhnath temple after leaving BSP, Tripathi said, "I have visited the temple earlieer also, as the temple is the centre of faith."
"I came here for blessings of Mahant Yogi Adityanath and if BJP gives me ticket from Chillupar, I'll give appropriate answer to the opposition." the former Chillupar MP added. After his exit from BSP, the former Chillupar MLAhas not joined the BJP formally.
