Majalta to have Degree College soon: Naeem Akhtar

Minister for Education Mr Naeem AKhtar today said that a degree college at Majalta would be established soon, thus fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of the area.The Minister was interacting with MLA Ramnagar Mr R S Pathania who called on him to project the demand for the college.MLA Hiranagar Mr Kuldip Raj was also present on the occasion.The Minister assured the visiting MLAs that the feasibility report of the College has already been prepared with inputs from Finance, Planning and General Department. He said that the report would be soon put forward before State Cabinet for approval.

The Minister said that the Government is committed for providing quality education in every nook and corner of the State. He said that the forthcoming college will be a unique college with facilities that would be in tune with modern day needs of the students of the area.Mr Pathania while thanking the Minister said that the forthcoming college will feed ten Higher Secondary Schools and four adjoining Tehsils. He said that under UGC guidelines too, Majalta was deserving a college. He said that the College will be a great boon to students over a stretch of 100 kms right from Udhampur to Bilawar.
