Proposal of Centre to impose income tax on agriculture will bury already dying agriculture sector : Mann

Chandigarh, Jul 2 (UNI) Former MP and Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) president Bhupinder Singh Mann today said the proposal to impose income tax on agriculture by the Central government is a deep rooted conspiracy to finish the agriculture sector.
In a statement here, the BKU chief condemned this anti-farmer proposal of the Narendra Modi government and said the agriculture sector has already become nonviable and the farmers are committing suicides to escape the stress of this tyrant vocation. When Modi government had backed out on its promise made in its manifesto to implement the Swaminathan Commission recommendations, it had exposed its
anti-farmer face.
