Secretary of milk collection centre robbed of Rs 3.7 lakh in Aravalli

Palanpur: A man robbed secretary of milk collection center in Varana village of Bayed taluka in Aravalli district of Rs 3.7 lakh on Friday.
The incident took place when the centre's secretary Jalamsinh Parmar was on his way to his Varana after withdrawing Rs 3.70 lakh from the Sabarkantha District Central Cooperative Bank. He had to stop as the railway crossing was closed.Meanwhile, a man came from behind and pushed him down and before he could stand up he snatched the bag and decamped with the booty.
Police sub-inspector NJ Jadeja of Bayed police station said, "The cash was to be given as a salary to the member of the milk union affiliated with Sabar Dairy." The police have sounded alert in surrounding areas and launched a probe.
