Unidentified miscreants set fire to two fibre boats and nets at Ennore on Thursday. Police said the boat owner Ramachandran had parked his boats near the shore and on Thursday night they went up in flames. Fishermen tried to douse the blaze but by then the boats and nets were gutted.

Temple thefts: Miscreants broke into a temple near the Velachery police station and made away with more than Rs 30,000.
