ICSI to conduct its first ever CS Olympiad

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for the first time in its history will conduct CS Olympiad this year for class 11 and class 12 students.

VADODARA: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), for the first time in its history, will conduct CS Olympiad this year for class 11 and class 12 students.
The first CS Olympiad will be conducted on September 15 and October 4. The CS Olympiad is being conducted for students so that they can evaluate themselves at school, city, state, national level and determine their professional career at an early stage.
Chairman of Vadodara chapter of the ICSI Mayur Buha said, “This will help in identifying competency matrix of a student.
The Olympiad shall be of one-hour duration and will consist of multiple choice questions from various sections, including reading and comprehension, general knowledge, basic economics, quantitative aptitude, mental ability and reasoning, basic commerce and mercantile law.”
ICSI president Mamta Binani said that the CS Olympiad is unique in nature and will serve the students' capability mapping among their peers.
The international topper from each class will be awarded a scholarship of Rs one lakh each and attractive cash awards, certificates and mementoes will be distributed among the rank holders.
Participation certificates shall be issued to all students. Some bright students up to a certain rank will also get waiver of registration fees in respect of foundation programme stage of the company secretaryship course.
