Dress for Coffee: the new scouting project by illy and Vogue Talents
Designers, artists and creatives under 40 are invited to create new “dresses” for the famous tin cans of the Trieste-based company

Creativity applied to a circular canvas. This is the challenge set by “Dress for Coffee” the scouting project conceived by illy and Vogue Talents. Designers, artists and creatives under 40 are invited to create new “dresses” for the famous coffee tin cans used by the Trieste-based company. An adventure open to all, based on the quest for beauty and harmony.
James Rosenquist, Kiki Smith, Tobias Rehberger, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Gillo Dorfles, Sebastião Salgado and Robert Wilson are just some of the prestigious international names illy has been collaborating with since 2006 to embellish its tin cans. And now, one of you may have this honor.
During the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out on September 20 the selected prototypes will be showcased in Palazzo Morando, Milan, in a special corner set up for coffee tasting. The prototypes will remain on display during Vogue Talents for the whole duration o

f the fashion week. Also during VFNO, Vogue Italia will host a talk with two of the selected designers at the illy Store in piazza Gae Aulenti.

Besides the sketch of your tin can, to take part in the scouting you are required to submit to the email address dressforcoffee@condenast.it the following material by July 26th:
– full name of the designer/artist/creative
– date of birth
– nationality
– contacts: email, phone numbers, website
– Instagram profile
– awards and special mentions (if any)
– photos of previous creations
Designers are required to include:
– name of the brand
– brand profile
– year and season of first collection
– lookbook of the last two collections
– city where brand is based
– place of collections’ production
– stores (if any)
