Man in court charged with Shetland assault after death

A man has appeared in court after a sudden death in Shetland.

The body of a 34-year-old man, who has not been named, was discovered at a property in the Cunningsburgh area on Saturday night.

Ross Sutherland, 28, of Lerwick, was charged with assault to severe injury at the town's sheriff court.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
