One of our most fave comedy serials is set for a comeback, and you bet your asses we are excited!

There was a time in Indian television when there was a upper middle class family that consistently made us laugh! Even Virat Kohli couldn't have performed as consistently as them! That's the difference! We rarely have a show these days that make us intentionally laugh from the bottom of our hearts, a show that made us repeatedly watch the reruns, with the same dedication that we watch a F.R.I.E.N.D.S. or How I Met Your Mother. Sarabhai vs Sarabhai was that show for us. It was about a family with very different characters - a mother who is proud of her social status, a father who is a total prankster, an younger son who is a proud mama's boy and writes rubbish poems, a daughter-in-law who can't let go off her middleclass values, and her husband and elder son, Saahil, who is caught in the middle of all this.

When this weekly sitcom, created by Deven Bhojani (who proved that he was more than just that fat sidekick of Aamir Khan in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar), JD Majethia and Aatish Kapadia (Urf Kachcha Kela), ended after 70 glorious episodes, instead of leaving us smiling it left us with a hole in our hearts with a promise that it would return after 7 years.

It didn't. Despite several fan forums and Facebook pages demanding a second season, it didn't. The makers perhaps didn't want to tarnish the good image of the first season, so were afraid to go for an encore.

And like that never happening second season of Apatow's Freaks and Geeks, the fans were still waiting...

Until two days ago the cast and the crew had a reunion where JD Majethia have that news that everyone was so excited to hear about - it's happening! The second season will arrive definitely, but not as a TV show. It will be a web series.

Who cares? Just bring it on!

Since the announcement, the news has been trending like hell, and rightfully so. So if you are that kind of person who have never appreciated the finer nuances of the show and wondering what the fuss is all about, let me give you five reasons why I am excited about the show:

Rosesh's poetry

Come on, don't tell me every time you hear those inane lines, a smile escapes your lips! Rosesh (played by Rajesh Sharma) has been the breakout character of the series, and his poems have the dynamite to crack us up! Hope to hear more about Teen pair wala kutta and Meri Gag Meri Gharghanti in season 2!

Monisha and Maya - the war of classes!

Even though many of us are purely middleclass (at least the writer of this piece is), we didn't mind when Maya Sarabhai (Ratna Pathak Shah) pulls down her daughter-in-law Monisha (Rupali Ganguly) for being middle-class. Why? because her repartees are world class! And sometimes, Monisha do deserve it! After all, who wants to celebrate a birthday party at Shankar Sagar hotel because their 'sabudana vada is world famous'!

Indravadan Sarabhai - the king of wit!

Everytime Satish Shah opens his mouth, we laugh! Period.

Even the secondary character are cult favourite

Who can forget Indravadan's deaf brother-in-law, Madhusudhan, who constantly harasses the former with 'Heh'? Or Dushyant, the techno-savvy son-in-law, who takes everything literally and wants to explain every damn thing with Rosesh as an example? Or even Nayeshaa, Saahil (Sumeet Raghavan)'s lookalike aunt, who is too forward even for her sister, Maya? These characters are simply epic!

Above all...

The humour was consistent

I am suffering from amnesia. I actually don't remember any episode that failed to make me laugh.
