BUZZ-Genus: top-flight broker upgrades

(Amends number of brokerages in fifth bullet (3 of 6))

** British animal genetics firm Genus (Other OTC: GENSF - news) up 5.3 pct, top of FTSE 250 after Liberum upgrades stock to "buy" from "hold", raises TP to 1750p from 1500p

** Analysts, rated at five stars for recommendation accuracy on Genus per StarMine, say co's business should be "fairly immune" from Brexit; only 10 pct of co's sales are from UK and a weaker sterling should boost profits by 7 pct

** Liberum also points to 3 new technologies which should transform co's growth (sexed semen, IVF in cattle and gene editing)

** Analysts say current trading is solid with robust US and China hog markets offsetting weaker conditions in Latam and dairy

** 3 of 6 brokerages rate the stock "buy" or higher, 3 "hold"; median TP is 1525p according to Thomson Reuters Eikon data (RM (LSE: RM.L - news) :pranav.kiran@thomsonreuters.com@reuters.net)
