Bisp funds: Biometric payments in 4 districts  

A biometric payment system will be introduced in the districts of Multan, Mianwali, Mirpurkhas and Sanghar

ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) will soon introduce a biometric payment system in the districts of Multan, Mianwali, Mirpurkhas and Sanghar, a communiqué issued here on Thursday stated. The new payment system is to benefit those who already possess smart cards for drawing funds, it said. The programme warned BISP beneficiaries that their payments in the aforementioned districts might be delayed by as much as three weeks. However, the BISP said, it was ensuring that beneficiaries in these districts would start benefiting from new payment system by the middle of next month. BISP also apologised for the “short delay”.
