A whopping amount of over Rs 1.36 crore was spent on the hiring, installation and removal of these CCTV cameras. Delhi Police has already faced a lot of criticism for not covering the entire city under third eye surveillance at a time when the crime graph in the city is on the rise. Delhi Police along with the government has mapped dark and vulnerable areas and are in the process of installing more cameras.

Police officials claim that these cameras were installed at various key locations across the city, but they would not be permanently installed as it will not able to handle 'the erratic and extreme' weather conditions of the Capital.
