Stage is set at Roseland with amphitheatre seating space

Roseland, Cualanor, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin

Roseland

The opening of a railway from Dublin to Kingstown, as Dun Laoghaire was known under British rule, transformed the town into a Victorian seaside resort.

By 1910, there was a golf club in the town and it is on this former course that the Cosgrave Group launched Cualanor two months ago.

The scheme, located off Upper Glenageary Road, is beside the suburb's bowling club and close to Honeypark, another new Cosgrave development. Ultimately, there will be 175 units at Cualanor, including a series of apartments to the front of the scheme.

The first section of Cualanor, on the seaward side of the development, is known as Roseland and will comprise 90 homes. There are 15 homes available from the initial batch of Roseland, with prices starting at €715,000 for the four-bed, three-storey semi-detached homes.

Cualanor has a dedicated 6.5ac woodland park, a large playground and an amphitheatre seating space for residents. The entire area has already been fully landscaped.

The A-rated homes come with a heat recovery system and charge points for electric cars. As a result of the PV panels that generate solar power and a device that maximises the home-owner's consumption of that energy, the cost of running the properties works out at just €3.40 a day, on average.

Viewings at Roseland will take place between 2.30pm and 4pm tomorrow and Sunday.
