Indore: A day after state government removed Dr Ramghulam Razdan from MY Hospital's superintendent post, charge for the post was given to Dr VS Pal on Thursday.
Both Dr Razdan and Dr Pal are psychiatric specialists. Sources said that senior doctors were offered the top post but they declined. Apart from holding Dr Razdan responsible for the two toddlers' death due to toxic gas feed, departmental inquiry has been ordered against others including dean of MGM Dr M K Rathore, Dr Brajesh Lahoti, Dr KK Arora and Dr Sunil Narang and former superintendent Dr A D Bhatnagar.
"The officers were held responsible as they were somehow involved in the process that led to deaths. Departmental inquiry will seek explanation from them on the matter," director medical education department, Dr G S Patel said.
On Friday, Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh high court will hear the petition on the matter where state government will present day-to-day progress report before the court.
Now, the inquiry report on infant's death at Indore district hospital is pending. The matter was also raised in the high court. Magisterial inquiry was ordered in death of an infant and after ants were seen crawling on the body.
