Development of Santhal Pargana on CM lips on Hul diwas

Chief minister Raghubar Das stressed on the development of Santhal Pargana during a programme at Bhognadih in Sahibganj district organized to mark the 161st Hul diwas on Thursday.

Dumka: Chief minister Raghubar Das stressed on the development of Santhal Pargana during a programme at Bhognadih in Sahibganj district organized to mark the 161st Hul diwas on Thursday.
The district has already got development projects worth Rs 110 crore, some of which are complete.
"The true tribute to the martyr brothers will be to ensure development of Santhal Pargana where tribals and other communities have made great sacrifices in their fight against the British," Das said while addressing the gathering at Bhognadih, the birth place of the martyr brothers.

Hul diwas celebrates the martyrdom of great tribal brothers Sido, Kanhu, Chand and Bhairav who led the famous santhal hul (rebellion) against the British raj in 1855.
The chief minister said his government has put Santhal Parganas in the priority list for development.
Referring to the proposed construction of bridge over the Ganga and a port, Das said Sahebganj would emerge as a smart city following the completion of both the projects. The CM also handed over 11 newly constructed houses to the family members of the martyrs .
Appointment letters to six candidates and land pattas under the Forest Rights Act to 13 beneficiaries were also distributed by the chief minister on the occasion. State health minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi, Rajmahal MP Vijay Hasda, Rajmahal MLA Anant Ojha also attended the function.
