PANAJI: At its third meeting on Thursday, the state-level committee (SLC), constituted to scrutinize suggestions and objections to the
Regional Plan 2021, decided that town and country planning (TCP) officials conduct site inspections in light of the proposals and applications received by the TCP department.
Deputy chief minister
Francis D’Souza, who also holds the TCP portfolio, told
TOI that in a bid to streamline the process, a format has been introduced for the compliance of all TCP officials.
A glance at the applications would show the exact nature of each, including the ground reality observed by the respective official during site inspections.
The TCP has received 9,500 suggestions and objections to the RP 2021. As part of the first phase, the SLC has begun scrutinizing applications and suggestions from the talukas of Sattari, Sanguem, Pernem and Canacona.
