This week we've followed the progress of three incredibly savvy millennials who are hungry to become the next big names on Vine, YouTube and Instagram.

TODAY has been paired each up-and-comer with an expert — to learn from and wholly experience what life in the social spotlight is like day to day as part of TODAY's Social Star Search.

Over the course of the summer, mentors will show their mentees the social ropes, increasing followings, engagement and and more on their platforms.

VINE: Connor Hough

Bank teller Connor Hough just likes to make people smile, spreading positivity and laughter through his six-second stories on the video app Vine. He'll be working with Vine star David Lopez (coincidentally, a former bank teller), who has nearly 7 million followers to his name on that platform!

Lopez has turned posting on Vine into a full-time job, a position he embraced after some hesitancy, admitting, "I was already making brand deals. I was already able to make money off of it. But I was...kinda scared."

Despite those initial fears, Lopez has no regrets, and is eager to share his tricks of the six-second trade with Hough.

YOUTUBE: Angela Cruz

Aspiring beauty vlogger and former reporter Angela Cruz will be working with celebrity makeup artist-turned-beauty blogger Kandee Johnson.

Johnson, who has more than 3.5 million followers on YouTube, is eager to teach Cruz what she knows.

Her videos consist of makeup transformations, beauty hacks, tutorials and a few hair how-to's.

"To be able to have the opportunity to be a mentor to somebody, to teach them my knowledge, to go through what I've learned and share that with them and help boost their career, it just feels like a great reward that I'm able to give somebody," Johnson told TODAY.

INSTAGRAM: Chrysten Crockett

Chrysten Crockett is a personal trainer trying to break into the world of Instagram with the help of fitness sensation Massy Arias.

Arias has built a following of more than 2 million on the platform where she posts snippets of workouts, inspiring images of healthy meals and transformation photos.

Almost every day, Instagram users post shots with the hashtag #MA30DAY to chronicle their success using the health coach's fat-loss and muscle-building programs.

But for both trainers, the main goal is to provide followers with inspiration that will help them reach their own personal fitness goals.

Arias dove right in with Crockett by demonstrating some best practices for shooting videos in a gym space.
