Ara CJM orders FIR against SHO

Ara: The court of chief judicial magistrate (CJM) VD Rai on Wednesday ordered to lodge an FIR against the SHO of Ara Town police station for non-compliance of court order. The case pertains to November 23, 2010, when an advocate of Ara civil court, Satyavrata, filed a case in the CJM court against chief minister Nitish Kumar and BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani for mentioning in an election rally that only 'abduction industry' was flourishing in Lalu-Rabri regime.
The advocate had objections to the alleged statement of Nitish and Advani. The CJM court had ordered the Town PS to lodge an FIR against both the leaders. But no FIR was lodged and police informed the court that no such case was filed as no such statement was given by them. TNN
The CJM also ordered Satyavrata to substantiate his claim. Satyavrata filed a revision petition against the order of the CJM following which the district Judge (DJ) finally passed an order in December 2015 ordering to lodge an FIR in the case. In compliance with the order of the DJ, the CJM asked the SHO of the Ara town police station to lodge an FIR in the case.
