Ied attacks: Teacher killed, tribal peace militia leader injured

The injured was identified as Imran Khan and was shifted to the hospital in critical condition

SHABQADAR: A schoolteacher was killed while a tribal peace militia leader was injured in separate improvised explosive device (IED) blasts in Bajaur Agency on Thursday.

An official of the political administration told The Express Tribune Shehzada, a schoolteacher, was killed in China Gai, Mamond. He said Shehzada was on his way to the school when an IED planted at a roadside went off. As a result, he was killed on the spot. Later, the political administration launched a search operation in the area. However, no arrests were made till this report was filed.

In another incident, a tribal peace militia leader was injured in an IED blast in Badan Kot, Bajaur Agency. The injured was identified as Imran Khan and was shifted to the hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, the political administration officials and security forces defused a remote-controlled bomb during a search operation in the area.
