I will play a farmer in my 101st film: Balayya
Krishna Vamsi will be directing Balakrishnas next film. The Tollywood star confirmed the news while addressing a public meeting in Hindupur. After I complete shooting for Gautamiputra Satakarni, I will start shooting for my 101st film, titled Rythu. I will be playing a farmer in the film that will be set in a village backdrop. Krishna Vamsi will direct the film.
It will be an ode to all the farmers of the country, declared the actor to a rousing applause.
Touted to be a hard hitting drama the film will feature the actor in a traditional look. The discussions about the film were on even before his 100th film was announced. In fact, Balayya himself had asked director Krishna Vamsi to come up with an interesting story which would have a social message. He loved the plot line Krishna Vamsi narrated and gave the nod for Rythu back then. It is going to be a message-oriented drama which will have some political undercurrents as well, shares a source close to the actor, adding, After a long time Balayya will be seen in a completely rustic avatar and he is very excited about the prospect.
Apparently, Krishna Vamsi is working on the final draft of the films script presently. Once Balayya completes shooting of his upcoming film directed by Krish, further discussions regarding the film will be initiated.
