Ixia has announced that the company will include support for Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vNetwork Standard Switch (vSS) for its integrated cloud visibility platform, CloudLens.

Ixia CloudLens comes with the company’s virtual tap, packet and application flow filtering, SSL decryption, and Netflow metadata generation for use in physical, virtualized, and hybrid environments.

CloudLens will monitor security, performance analytics, and troubleshooting along-with support for OpenStack KVM, VMware ESXi and NSX, in addition to the above.

With this, the company claims to provide a managed virtualized computing environment at lower costs.

“It’s this close collaboration that enables us to develop visibility and virtualization solutions that eliminate these challenges, and enable customers to fully benefit from the advantages offered by the cloud,”said Christophe Olivier, Senior Product Manager, Ixia.

The Application and Threat Intelligence Processor (ATIP) will enable a view into network activities with the ability to visualize and analyze user, device, and application behaviors, claims the company.
