1 killed, one hurt in dispute over goat

Varanasi: Violence occurred in Kajiyana locality in dispute over a missing goat and led to killing of a woman while a youth suffered serious head injuries in Bhadohi district late Tuesday night.
Haji Azad Khan's residence is adjacent to the house of Nisar Quraishi alias Guddi in Kajiyana in Bhadohi district. On Tuesday evening a goat belonging to Khan's family went missing and around 9pm, youths of the family reached the place of Guddi to know whether his family had taken the goat.
This annoyed the latter and a heated argument followed.
Khans returned home and started brickbatting from the terrace of their house and Guddi's wife Afsana (30) and his brother Firoz suffered serious head injuries.
Locals rushed the injured to district hospital where Afsana was declared brought dead.
Heavy police force reached the site including SP Bhadohi AB Pandey.
He told TOI that Guddi's family lodged a named FIR against Khan and his sons. Some persons have been taken under custody.
