Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari today informed the House that 5047 structures were damaged due to the floods of September 2014 in Kulgam district including 435 structures in Noorabad constituency.Replying to a question by Mr. Abdul Majid Paddar, the Minister said that Rs. 2.24 crore stand disbursed as relief/financial assistance to 435 flood affected families in Noorabad constituency. He said the beneficiary wise list and assistance provided to them is available on official website of Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam.The Minister said that Rs. 2.04 crore were released for temporary restoration works of Vishu Nallah, Sanam Nallah, Trout Nallah, Khandey Nallah and other Nallahas in Kulgam district against the total work done of Rs. 17.03 crore during 2014-15.
He said under permanent restoration Rs. 3.87 crore were expended on different flood damaged works in district Kulgam. He said government has released Rs. 100 crore for clearing the liabilities of flood damaged works adding that the outstanding liability of Rs. 17.03 crore of Nooraabad constituency would be also cleared.Govt proposes to extent jurisdiction of MC Shopian: AsieaMinister of State for Housing and Urban Development Department, Ms. Asiea Naqash today informed the House that government has issued a notification, declaring to its intention to extent the jurisdiction of Municipal Committee Shopian.Replying to a question by Advocate Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, the Minister said that villages Meemander, Gagren, Largam, Habdipora, Kanipora, Chowgam, Ahhama and Pinjoora are proposed to be included in the expansion of Municipal Committee Shopian.
