DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Harish Rawat today honoured Dr Mahesh Bhandari, president, Doon Residents Welfare Front, for his contribution to society at a function organised by the Uttarakhand Industrial Welfare Association (UIWA).

Dehradun, June 29

Chief Minister Harish Rawat today honoured Dr Mahesh Bhandari, president, Doon Residents Welfare Front, for his contribution to society at a function organised by the Uttarakhand Industrial Welfare Association (UIWA).

Dr Bhandari, a retired teacher of DAV PG College, is associated with many social organisations like the Institution World Congress Human Rights, All-India Consumer Concept, Doon Sikh Welfare Society, Crime Prevention Society Uttarakhand, Community Liaison Group of Police and other environmental associations of Dehradun.

Earlier, he had been given awards for his commendable work in the National Service Scheme, National Adult Education Programme, Family Planning Programme and other national programmes.
