Topper scam: Bachcha's college now a 'tourist spot'
Of the 60 plus architecture colleges in the state, only one is a government college, while two others-Academy of Architecture Rachna Sansad in Mumbai and BKPS College of Architecture in Pune-are government-aided.

Bhagwanpur: The huge compound of Vishun Roy College at Bhagwanpur, around 40 km from Patna, turned into a "tourist spot" after the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) intermediate topper scam surfaced on May 30.
The college compound, which used to be abuzz with students' activities, has now turned into wonderland for people. Since R D Public School is also located on the same premises, the students of the twin institutions would play and perform other curricular activities at the compound.
Both Vishun Roy College and R D Public School are owned by Bachcha Roy, who is currently behind bars on the charge of manipulating intermediate results to produce toppers from his college.
The iron gates of the compound are locked from inside with eight police men from Hajipur police lines guarding the college premises - the epicentre of topper scam. The school building has been sealed by the administration. However, a part of the building is functional as a branch of Bank of India operates from there.
A security person said apart from students and their parents who visit the college every day to know when it will reopen, a large number of people from far off places too frequent the institution just to satisfy their curiosity. "People come, spend some time watching the building and return. Some even ask about the history of the college and Bachcha Roy's clout from locals," he said.
Many students and parents do not have an inkling that the affiliation of the college has been cancelled. The Vishun Roy College has been under scanner for at least a year since all its 1,007 Class XII students got a first division in 2015.
At Bachcha's ancestral Bhagwanpur village along the Hajipur-Muzaffarpur highway, the villagers are seen taking care of his elephant. Asked if they were told to feed the elephant, pat came the reply, "What is the fault of the animal? Since Bachcha is in jail and rest of his family members are absconding, we decided to take care of the cattle and the elephant."
