Guv House employee files rape case against colleague

Following directions of a special court, the Sodala police on Wednesday registered an FIR under section 376 (rape) of IPC based on a complaint filed by a woman working at the Governor House. The woman has alleged that an employee working in the same office had raped her on several occasions.

JAIPUR: Following directions of a special court, the Sodala police on Wednesday registered an FIR under section 376 (rape) of IPC based on a complaint filed by a woman working at the Governor House. The woman has alleged that an employee working in the same office had raped her on several occasions.
According to the police, the woman is a class-four employee at the Governor House.

“As per the complainant, on January 3, 2013, the accused came to her staff quarter at Governor House and gave her sweets laced with sedatives. After she fell unconscious, the accused allegedly raped her,” said Satpal Singh, investigating officer, Sodala police station.
Singh added that the accused had also allegedly made a video clip of her and threatened her not to reveal anything to anybody.
The woman alleged that the accused, who works as a store in-charge at the Governor House, forcibly took her to the circuit house in Mount Abu in February this year and raped her for three days.
The woman added in her complaint that in April too, the accused came to her staff quarter and attempted to rape her minor daughter too.
The woman had moved a special court for Scheduled Tribe and Schedule Caste cases, seeking action against the accused.

She told the court that despite complaining to the officials of the Governor House about the incident, no action was initiated against the accused. The special court on Tuesday directed the Sodala police station to register an FIR based on the woman’s complaint.
“We have lodged an FIR under section 376 (rape) of the IPC, and section 3 of the SC/ST (prevention of atrocities) Act. We are recording statements in the case,” Singh said
