Ali Fazal, best known for '3 Idiots' and '
Fukrey' has told a newspaper that his fan following in
Pakistan has made him eager to shoot across the border. Enthusing about how delighted he is to know that people in the neighbouring country love his work, the actor has been quoted saying, "Maybe, one day I will go to Pakistan and meet these fans who like me and my work. At the end of the day we are all the same and meeting my fans there is something that I have on my mind."
Recalling that the closes he has gone to is the Wagah border, where he also shot some scenes, Ali says, "It's electric to witness the same enthusiasm and vigour coming from the other side, just a few feet away."
It was after the actor, who also played a small part in 'Fast & Furious 7', started getting mails from Pakistan that he realised people there love his work and are his fans.
Admitting that he didn't know he had a fan base on the other side of the border, Ali has been quoted saying, "At first, I thought that since actor
Ali Zafar is from Pakistan, his fans might have mistaken me for him. Eventually, I realised that they have liked my work and that feeling sunk in." The actor, whose last Hindi release was 'Khamoshiyan' will next be seen in 'Happy Bhaag Jayegi' with Abhay Deol and
Diana Penty.
Listen to the songs of 'Khamoshiyan' on Gaana.comNana Patekar is inspiring, says Ali Fazal
