Jewish Board to debate with Joburg mayoral candidates

Johannesburg - The Jewish Board of Deputies will on Wednesday hold a debate with four parties on their plans for Johannesburg after the elections.

How Johannesburg voted in 2011

ANC mayoral candidate Parks Tau, DA mayoral candidate Herman Mashaba, Cope leader Mosiuoa Lekota, and ACDP MP Steven Swart would get a chance to discuss how their parties would improve Johannesburg.

The city comfortably voted ANC in the 2011 elections with the incumbent party securing 59% of the vote. This represented a 3% loss over 2006.

The board’s spokesperson Charisse Zeifert said the city’s residents would get the opportunity to ask them questions.
