Dodgers’ Julio Urias eventually picks off baserunner after repeated attempts

If at first you don’t succeed, wait for a replay review and try again.

That’s the quote, right?

The Dodgers’ Julio Urias took that advice to heart during Tuesday’s game against the Brewers. His first attempt to pick off Jonathan Villar was initially ruled out on the field, but it was overturned after a replay review.

Villar, who must’ve been thinking that there’s no way Urias tries another pickoff, took another big lead immediately after the review. Well, Urias threw over again, and this time, Villar was out.

To be fair to Villar, Urias got away with a balk on that second pick-off attempt — like, a blatant balk. But still, Urias’ crafty determination paid off.
