INDORE: The delay in the mapping of more than 100 schools recognised under RTE from the district education department came out as the major reason for technical issues faced by the applicants, revealed the technical team of the department on Tuesday.
After a number of complaints from the parents of the problems in the RTE online process, the district administration had formed a technical committee to resolve the issues faced by the parents to apply online for RTE on Monday.
Over 1070 schools had been recognised for the RTE admissions this year, only 900 schools have been mapped for the online process, creating trouble for the RTE applicants.
"We have formed a committee of two technical experts from the department to look into the matter. After checking the online process the experts have informed us that the mapping of all the schools has not been done which is creating the technical issue faced by the applicants," said CEO, zila panchayat, Varadmurti Mishra.
The state education department on Tuesday issued a circular to all the district collectors and education department officials informing that a helpdesk for resolving the issues faced during the RTE online applications has been set up by the department. The circular from the RTE controller of the state also informed about the contact numbers of the helpdesk set up in Bhopal. However, with only two days are left for the parents to apply online the parents are worried while many parents have planned to use the offline mode.
The state education department had earlier assured the applicants that they can apply through offline mode also after June 30.
Meanwhile now when the technical team has come out with the cause of technical issues, the block resource officers, who were responsible for the mapping of schools, will be asked to finish the mapping of all the recognised schools under RTE.
