Minister inaugurates Wi-Fi facility at Ujjain rly station

Minister of state for railways Manoj Sinha on Tuesday inaugurated Wi-Fi service at Ujjain railway station in order to provide high speed internet to commuters at the station.

INDORE: Minister of state for railways Manoj Sinha on Tuesday inaugurated Wi-Fi service at Ujjain railway station in order to provide high speed internet to commuters at the station.
Two high-tech elevators were also inaugurated simultaneously on the occasion. After launch of the service, youths were seen browsing internet through their smartphones at the vicinity of the station.
"It's a good step taken by the Railways. Now we can use internet for free while waiting for trains. Even passengers travelling through the station can enjoy the service," said a passenger, Lokesh Bhatt.
To get internet access, passengers inside the station could find Wi-Fi network on their mobile phones and laptops. After connecting the network, passengers will be asked to enter mobile number to get a four digit one-time-password (OTP). The Wi-Fi will be enabled in the phone or laptop immediately after entering the OTP. Presently, the service has been provided for free of cost by the Railways.
Ujjain railway station is the first station to have Wi-Fi facility in Ratlam railway division. While speaking to media in Ujjain, the minister said that a technical report in Indore-Fatehabad gauge conversion is still awaited and the work will be started as soon as it is received and reviewed.
