: With the aim of spreading more awareness of creating more acceptance for transgender people in society, the 8-Point Art Cafe at Asramam in the city will organise a 20-day exhibition of photographs on transgender life. All the photos are those clicked by photographer Harikrishnan. The exhibition christened ‘Trans’ will be inaugurated by K.N. Balagopal, MP on June 29 evening.

Director of 8-Point Art Cafe R. Shenley said on Tuesday that through the exhibition, the art cafe intends to make a contribution towards erasing the stigma and discrimination transgender people face in society. It is a serious attempt towards promoting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality, he said. Members of the transgender community will also participate in the event.
