JK Entry Tax on goods amendment passed, returned

SRINAGAR, June 28: Minister of State for Finance, Planning and CA&PD Ajay Kumar Nanda in the House today  introduced a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Entry Tax on Goods Act-2000 (L.A Bill No: 2 of 2016) as passed by Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. He also moved that the bill be returned.
The House passed the motion unanimously for consideration and its return with a voice vote.
Meanwhile, Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar today moved a Bill in for consideration for establishing two Cluster Universities at Srinagar and Jammu, and for matters connected there with or incidental thereto (LA Bill No. 1 of 2016) as passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
After a brief discussion the bill was later passed and returned.
Earlier, four members Ramesh Arora, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Naresh Kumar Gupta, and Ashok Kumar Khajuria spoke on the Bill and offered some suggestions that the Minister assured would be considered in future.
