Chief Minister Harish Rawat has acknowledged social works of Anjali Maheshwari, who works for the poor strata of society, particularly children.
Anjali, who runs Sanatan Sewa Mission in Haridwar, provides free education to poor children in rural and remote areas of the district.
The mission holds temporary education camps and workshops on a regular basis and provides free stationery to poor students.
“Doing social, charity works is also a way of worship. Being able to help or give someone a reason to smile makes me happy. From slum colonies, clusters to remote and far flung hill areas, Sanatan Sewa Mission has been actively working for the uplift of poor people,” Anjali said.
In the presence of Jagadguru Swami Ramachandacharya Hans Vedacharya, Anjali urged Chief Minister Harish Rawat to assist NGOs which work for the poor.
“ Harish Rawat acknowledged the working of our mission and was pleased to know about free education being provided in rural and hill areas. He also lauded the methodology of imparting education to the students by well versed teachers,” Himanshu, an activist associated with the Sanatan Sewa Mission, said.
