No security for women in Tamil Nadu: Radhakrishnan

Puducherry,June 28(UNI)Union minister of state for shipping and transport Pon Radhakrishnan today said that there is no security for women in Tamil Nadu.
Talking to media after taking part in the executive committee meeting of the BJP state unit here this evening,Mr Radhakrishnan said that he was ained to hear the brutal murder of techie Swathi at the Nungambakkam railway station.Eventhough,railway station is under the control of the central government,the surrounding areas come under the state government and hence,the state government will have to investigate the murder.He asserted that the Tamilnadu government should create a situation that women are safe in the state.The state government should book the culprit in the case forthwith and properly punished,he said.All police stations should give priority to the complaints preferred by women and all departments should ensure the secreacy of the complaints lodged by women and prompt action be taken,he said.
On the Katchatheevu issue,Mr.Radhakrishnan said that the AIADMk and DMK parties are enacting a drama and cheating the people.The issue of fishermen of both India and Sri lanka would be resolved through proper dialogue,he added.he also said that steps would be taken for the rescue of seven Tamilnadu fishermen imprisoned in Iran.
